The management of Seyi Awolowo has begged Nigerians over a controversial statement made by the BBNaija Allstars housemate about s3x.
His management said the statement doesn’t represent Seyi’s real personality.
During one of the show’s sessions, Seyi had a s3x-related chit-chat with his colleagues, Whitemoney and Soma.
He said he is looking to train his sons and their friends to have s3xual intercourse with pre-arranged girls.
The housemate said he created a special bank account to service the s3xual fantasies of his son and their friends.
This comment has since generated a heated backlash on social media.
Seyi’s management released a statement they described as “a more balanced perspective on the matter”.
It said the reality TV star’s comment might have been triggering but does not “define his overall personality”.
Seyi’s management said the public should consider the complexities of the show as well as the possibility of misinterpretation.
“It is essential to recognize that edited content and isolated segments from the show can sometimes be taken out of context,” the statement reads.
“Leading to a distorted representation of individuals and their actions. Seyi has been portrayed in a manner that does not fully reflect his character, values, and intentions.
“While we acknowledge that Seyi might have said certain things that were provoked, triggered, or influenced by circumstances, it is essential to emphasize that these instances do not accurately define his overall personality.
“Seyi is not a woman beater, woman oppressor, or cultist as some narratives might suggest.
“We urge the public and media to consider the complexity of the show’s environment, the dynamics of human interactions, and the possibility of misinterpretation.
“Seyi Awolowo is a multifaceted individual with a diverse background and experiences, and it is unfair to judge his entire character based on selective moments.
“The show’s portrayal may not always encapsulate the entirety of a person’s identity. We encourage open-mindedness and fairness in interpreting his actions and words.”
