It was all accolades from veteran musician, Innocent ‘2baba’ Idibia to his younger colleague, Olamide Baddo as they ran into each other in the US.
Considered one of the most influential artists in Africa, Olamide Baddo has played a pivotal role in propelling the careers of various Afrobeats’ music talents.
Following the resounding success of one of his signee Asake who recently sold out the popular 20,000-capacity London 02 Arena, the YBNL boss alongside his protégé have continued to attract acclaim globally.
Meeting with Olamide, 2baba who was in the company of some associates couldn’t hold back from congratulating the “Unruly” crooner on the remarkable success of his artiste.
The 47-year-old “African Queen” singer lavished encomiums on Baddo, noting how much of a blessing he’s been to many as well as the growth of the African music genre globally.
“You see this man right here, they don’t come many. This guy, they come very few of them”, he said, hailing Baddo with their arms across each other’s backs while they beamed with smile.
Olamide on his part hailed 2baba, stating: “Yes o! we dey here. My oga.”
