A total of 46 musicians, including Buju, Waje, Brymo, Fireboy, Kaycee, Asake, Timaya, Pasuma, Naira Marley, Tony Tetuila, and Seyi Vibes, alongside other prominent figures in the music industry, delivered captivating performances at the Inauguration Concert of the Renewed Hope Concert. The event took place at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, in honor of President-elect Bola Tinubu and his Vice, Kashim Shettima.
The youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress, including Seyi Tinubu, son of Bola Tinubu, announced the concert as a way to celebrate the contributions of young people to the party’s success in the general elections. The performances by the guest artists thrilled the audience, and eyewitnesses took to social media to express their excitement.
One eyewitness, David Offor, shared his enthusiasm on Twitter, stating, “Buju performed at 1.16 am, and the Agbado community was wide awake! We are outside enjoying the #RenewedHopeConcert.” Another eyewitness, Michael Zucci, humorously commented on the concert, saying, “Timaya has made this Renewed Hope Concert so enjoyable that it hurts them.”
Additionally, Qudus Akanbi, another person on Twitter with the handle @EleyiLagos, revealed that a total of 46 Nigerian artists from different regions of the country graced the concert’s stage.
The Chairman of the Renewed Hope Concert Media Committee, Ademuyiwa Taofeek, stated that the event aimed to inclusively celebrate young people who played a vital role in achieving the party’s renewed hope agenda. The statement emphasized the efforts made by young people nationwide, who knocked on doors, convinced friends, took risks, and remained steadfast in ensuring the safe realization of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s vision as the next President.
