On April 10, 2005, Colby Grover passed away at the Chelsea Retirement Community where he was residing. He was 88 years old. On June 6, 1916, the first child of Grover C. and Claribel (Glass) Colby was born. On October 24, 1942, he tied the knot with Marilyn (Burzan). Sadly, she passed away in 1981, two years prior to his own death. Jr., an avid hunter, had a particular fondness for hunting foxes and coyotes.
The individual’s primary focus was utilizing his CB radio to connect with numerous acquaintances located across the globe, by the moniker 999 Grover. Two children, Alvin (Sharon) Colby of Auburn, Indiana, and Mary (Dave) Schrotenboer of Chelsea, belong to him. In addition, the deceased is survived by his grandchildren, namely Jeremy (Veronica) Bradbury, April Colby, Kyle Schrotenboer, and Shawn Schrotenboer, along with his great-grandchildren, Shyla Bradbury and Makayla Kline.
Reportedly, among the survivors are Lucille Nelson of Asby, Minnesota, Orvilla (Robert) Somers of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Esther (Frank) Bongiovanni of Northville, and Bessie Bongiovanni of Brighton, Michigan, all of whom are sisters of the deceased. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Barb Wright at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home on Thursday, April 14 at 11:00 a.m.
